§ 2-205. Purposes and intent

This division is adopted for the purpose of authorizing the city to charge for emergency services outside of the city limits and contracted coverage areas as authorized by Minn. Stats. §§ 415.01, 366.011, and 366.012. The intent is to recover costs for services rendered outside of the city limits or contracted service areas, so that city residents and parties contracting with the city are not subsidizing the provision of fire services to other areas.
